Packers Lose OT Chad Clifton For “Several Weeks”

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Green Bay Packers OT Chad Cliftoncould possibly miss several weeks” after injuring his hamstring during last nights win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Marshall Newhouse wound up replacing Clifton as the Packers brought in rookie OT Derek Sherrod to play right tackle. The Packers were already without Bryan Bulaga who is expected to return in time for the week 6’s game against the St Louis Rams.

The two replacements looked solid throughout the game but the loss of Clifton will surely be felt at some point. Hopefully for them, Bulaga is able to help fill in while Clifton is recovering.
