Packers Place DB David Rivers On I.R. After Clearing Waivers

The Green Bay Packers officially placed DB David Rivers on injured reserve Thursday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.

Rivers signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Youngstown State back in May. Green Bay elected to waive him on Wednesday with an injury designation to make room for CB Daquan Holmes.

During his two-year college career at Youngstown State, Rivers recorded 45 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, 13 pass defenses, and one forced fumble.
