Packers Place ILB Jake Ryan On Injured Reserve, Sign RB Akeem Judd

The Green Bay Packers announced Monday that they’ve officially placed ILB Jake Ryan (ACL) and OLB C.J. Johnson (hamstring) on injured reserve.

The Packers also waived G Ethan Cooper and signed RB Akeem Judd to a contract.

A recent report mentioned that the Packers are considering veteran inside linebacker options including NaVorro Bowman, but they plan to see what heir younger players can do for the time being.

Ryan, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Packers back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2,736,676 contract and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

In 2017, Ryan appeared in 15 games for the Packers and recorded 81 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble and a recovery.
