Packers Place Rookie CB Kevin King On IR, Activate CB Demetri Goodson

The Green Bay Packers announced that they’ve placed rookie CB Kevin King on injured reserve Wednesday with a shoulder injury and activated DB Demetri Goodson from the PUP list.

King, 22, was selected with the No. 33 overall pick by the Packers after they elected to trade down with the Saints. For moving back a few spots, the Packers picked up an additional fourth-round pick that they used on OLB Vince Biegel.

In 2017, King appeared in nine games for the Packers and recorded 28 tackles, no interceptions and five pass defenses.

Goodson, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Packers back in 2014. He stands to make a base salary of $690,000 before becoming an unrestricted free agent next year.

In 2016, Goodson appeared in six games for the Packers and recorded 14 tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense.
