Packers Place WR Jared Abbrederis On Injured Reserve

Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that the Packers have placed WR Jared Abbrederis on injured reserve Monday with a thigh contusion.

Green Bay continues to get hit with injuries, as they’re also placing S Chris Banjo on injured reserve and have lost CB Damerious Randall for a few weeks.

It’s very likely that this will end Abbrederis’ 2016 season, as they have more notable players on injured reserve to consider bringing back such as RB Eddie Lacy and CB Sam Shields.

Abbrederis, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Packers back in 2014. He’s currently in the second year of his three-year, $1.575 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Abbrederis has appeared in five games and caught one pass for eight yards and no touchdowns for the Packers.
