Packers Promote FB Joe Kerridge To Active Roster, Cut DB Jermaine Whitehead

The Green Bay Packers officially promoted FB Joe Kerridge to their active roster and placed DB Jermaine Whitehead on waivers Monday.

Kerridge, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan back in May. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason. Kerridge had a brief stint on Washington’s practice squad.

The Packers signed him to their practice squad close to a month ago.

During his college career, Kerridge ran for 121 yards on 18 carries (6.7 YPC) to go along with 17 receptions for 123 yards receiving and one total touchdown.
