The Green Bay Packers officially promoted FB Joe Kerridge to their active roster and placed DBÂ Jermaine Whitehead on waivers Monday.
Kerridge, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan back in May. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason. Kerridge had a brief stint on Washington’s practice squad.
The Packers signed him to their practice squad close to a month ago.
During his college career, Kerridge ran for 121 yards on 18 carries (6.7 YPC) to go along with 17 receptions for 123 yards receiving and one total touchdown.
