Packers Promote RB Tra Carson, Sign RB Lavon Coleman To PS

The Green Bay Packers announced Wednesday that they’ve promoted RB Tra Carson to the active roster and signed RB Lavon Coleman to their practice squad.

Here’s the Packers updated practice squad:

  1. LB Kendall Donnerson
  2. DL James Looney
  3. G/T Adam Pankey
  4. DB Will Redmond
  5. OT Anthony Coyle
  6. DL Deon Simon
  7. WR Keon Hatcher
  8. FB Dan Vitale
  9. TE Ethan Wolf
  10. RB Tra Carson

Carson, 25, originally signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2016. After being waived and signed to their practice squad, Carson was eventually promoted to the Bengals’ active roster.

Carson was in the final year of a three-year, $1.47 million contract and set to make a base salary of $630,000 this season when he was waived with an injury designation. The Bengals later cut Carson loose with an injury settlement and he eventually signed on to the Packers’ practice squad.

In 2018, Carson has appeared in two games for the Bengals but has not registered any statistics.
