Packers Promote RB John Crockett To Active Roster, Cut RB Alonzo Harris

Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports that the the Packers have promoted rookie RB John Crockett to their active roster and waived RB Alonzo Harris.

Crockett, 23, was a priority rookie free agent signing by the Packers out of North Dakota State back in May. However, he dealt with injuries during the preseason, which led to him being among their final roster cuts.

Green Bay later signed him to their practice squad.

Harris, 23, also signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana-Lafayette back in May. He somewhat surprisingly managed to make the team’s 53-man roster at the start of the season.

Crockett has appeared in six games and ran for 19 yards on four carries (4.8 YPC) to go along with no touchdowns.
