Packers Promote TE Justin Perillo, Release T Jamon Meredith

The Green Bay Packers announced that they have signed TE Justin Perillo to the active roster from the practice squad and released OT Jamon Meredith.

Perillo signed on with the Packers as undrafted free agent out of Maine back in May. He was unable to make the final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but he was later signed to the team’s practice squad.

During his college career, Perillo played in 44 games, catching 128 receptions for 1,318 yards (10.3 avg.) and 15 touchdowns.

Meredith, 28, is actually a former fifth-round pick of the Packers back in 2009. He appeared in four games while playing for the Indianapolis Colts this season.

The Packers signed him to a contract close to a week ago after they sustained some injuries to their offensive line.
