Ian Rapoport reports that the initial diagnosis for Packers RB Aaron Jones is that he has an MCL sprain and is likely to miss some time.

Jones is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury, but it appears as though he and Green Bay may have caught a break here.

Unfortunately for the Packers, RB Ty Montgomery reinjured his ribs, so it won’t be surprising to see them move forward with rookie RBs Jamaal Williams and Devante Mays.

Jones, 22, was taken in the fifth-round of this year’s draft by the Packers. He signed a four-year, $2.6 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the agreement.

Entering today’s game, Jones had appeared in seven games for the Packers and rushed for 358 yards on 67 carries (5.3 YPC) to go along with seven receptions for 16 yards receiving and three total touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Jones as the news is available.
