Packers RB DuJuan Harris Done For The Year

Packers HC Mike McCarthy announced that they are placing RBĀ DuJuan Harris on season-ending IR after he re-injured his knee last week.

Harris has a second opinion on his knee and it was determined that the injury was similar to the one he suffered during OTAs.

This comes as a surprise given that recent reports indicated that Harris’ injury wasn’t bad. Green Bay hasn’t decided whether or not to give him the designation to return later in the season.

With Harris out, it’s unlikely that the Packers will trade either Alex Green or James Starks, which wasn’t a likely to happen due to their overall trade value. This could open the door for Jonathan Franklin who hasn’t been very productive during training camp. Eddie Lacy is clearly the team’s top running back.
