Packers RB Ty Montgomery Expected To Play Against Vikings

According to Adam Schefter, Packers RB Ty Montgomery (ribs) is expected to play against the Vikings on Sunday. Not only that, but Schefter says that Montgomery is not expected to be limited in tomorrow’s game, despite suffering broken ribs a few weeks ago.

It initially appeared as though Montgomery could miss a few weeks after he fractured his ribs during the first play of Thursday night’s game, but indications have been that Montgomery was close to returning to game action.

Last week, rookie RB Aaron Jones stepped up big for Green Bay, so it will be interesting to see how the Packers split up carries tomorrow and in the coming weeks.

Montgomery, 24, is a former third-round pick by the Packers in the 2015 NFL Draft. He is in the third-year of a four-year, $2.949 million rookie contract and is set to make a base salary of $615,000 this season.

In 2017, Montgomery has appeared in four games and rushed for 152 yards on 46 carries (3.3 YPC) to go along with 18 receptions for 129 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
