Packers Re-Sign OLB Jayrone Elliott To One-Year Deal

Peter Schrager reports that the Packers have re-signed OLB Jayrone Elliott to a one-year contract.

  • According to Rob Demovsky, Elliott receives a one-year, $1.6 million contract from the Packers.

Elliott took visits to meet with the Bills and Steelers this week and reportedly had offers from both teams. However, it appears as though the Packers’ offer was competitive enough for them to get him under contract.

Elliott, 25, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out Toledo back in 2014. He played out the final year of his three-year, $1,535,000 rookie contract with the Packers but did not receive a restricted offer from the team, which is why he’s been testing the open market.

In 2016, Elliott appeared in 11 games for the Packers and recorded 19 tackles and sack.
