Packers Re-Sign OLB Nick Perry To A One-Year, $5 million Deal

Tom Silverstein is reporting that the Packers have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with OLB Nick Perry

  • Silverstein adds that Perry’s contract will pay him $5 million for the 2016 season.
  • According to Ian Rapoport, Perry’s new deal includes play-time incentives.

Perry, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Packers back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract before testing the open market for the first time this year.

It’s worth mentioning that the Packers elected to not pick up Perry’s fifth-year option last May, which is why he reached the open market.

In 2015, Perry appeared in 14 games for the Packers and recorded 31 tackles, 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 58 edge rusher out of 110 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Top 2016 Free Agents list.
