Packers Re-Sign WR Max McCaffrey To Practice Squad

Rob Devemosky of ESPN is reporting that the Packers have re-signed WR Max McCaffrey to their practice squad on Tuesday.

The Packers’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. OLB Reggie Gilbert
  2. CB Donatello Brown
  3. LB Derrick Mathews
  4. OL Kofi Amichia
  5. WR DeAngelo Yancey
  6. DE Izaah Lunsford
  7. WR Michael Clark
  8. G Darrell Greene
  9. QB Jerod Evans
  10. WR Max McCaffrey

McCaffrey, 23, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Duke back in May of last year. He signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Raiders before he was unfortunately among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason last season.

The Packers later signed him to their practice squad toward the end of the season but he was among their final roster cuts last offseason. He signed on to the Saints practice squad soon after.

Jacksonville signed McCaffrey off the Saints’ practice squad last month only to cut him loose last week.

McCaffrey has yet to appear in an NFL game.
