Packers Officially Re-Sign DT Letroy Guion To A One-Year Deal

Update:

The Green Bay Packers officially announced the signing of DT Letroy Guion on Tuesday.

Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports that the Packers and DT Letroy Guion have reached an agreement on a one-year deal.

  • According to Demovsky, the agreement is expected to be signed by Tuesday.

Guion recently visited with the Seahawks, but the Packers have maintained all along that they wanted to bring him back next year.

It will be interesting to see if they still try to re-sign DT B.J. Raji in the coming weeks.

Guion, 27, was arrested on February 3rd in possession of marijuana and an unloaded hand gun.  While the case was settled without a conviction, Guion can still be suspended under the league’s personal conduct policy.

In 2014, Guion recorded 32 tackles, 3.5 sacks and has been a solid run-defender in the middle the Packers’ defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 61 defensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players last year.
