Packers Re-Signing LB Jordan Tripp

Aaron Nagler of PackersNews.com reports that the Packers are re-signing LB Jordan Tripp to a contract on Wednesday.

Tripp, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2014. He lasted just over a year in Miami before he was waived and later signed to the Jaguars’ practice squad.

Jacksonville, unfortunately, cut Tripp loose coming out of the preseason and he signed on to the Seahawks’ practice squad at the start of the season. Seattle eventually promoted him to their active roster back in October before waiving him from injured reserve with a settlement in December.

The Packers signed him to a contract soon after and he finished out the year in Green Bay.

Tripp was in line to be a restricted free agent, but the Packers did not tender him a contract.

In 2016, Tripp appeared in nine games and recorded two tackles while contributing on special teams.
