Packers RT Bryan Bulaga Unsure About Future With The Packers

Packers RT Bryan Bulaga told reporters on Monday that he’s not thinking about his contract status with the team and referred to the situation as a “we’ll see what happens kind of deal.”

“Right now, I’m really not even thinking about it to be honest with you. That’s really the last thing on my mind,” Bulaga sai, via Lori Nickel of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “It’s a ‘we’ll see what happens’ kind of deal. This just ended yesterday. It’s kind of hard to look at it right now.

Of course, this was the day after the team suffered a brutal loss to the Seattle Seahawks, so it’s really not all that surprising he has yet to give the topic much thought.

Bulaga did say that he enjoys playing with the Packers current group offensive linemen.

It’s a great group, we all play very well together,” Bulaga said. “Like I’ll just continue saying, I can’t predict the future. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.”

Bulaga, 25, is in the final year of his rookie contract and is well positioned to be one of the most sought after offensive tackles in this year’s free agent market.

The Packers have placed a large emphasis on retaining their young players, so it would not be surprising to see them try to get a deal in place for Bulaga before free agency is underway in March.

Pro Football Focus has Bulaga rated as the No. 16 offensive tackle out of 84 qualifying players this year.

We have Bulaga listed as the No. 18 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
