Packers Sign DT Anthony Hargrove

ESPN’s Kevin Seifert reports that the Green Bay Packers have signed DT Anthony Hargrove.

Hargrove, 28, was targeted for his ability to get to the quarterback from the interior which was a huge problem for the Packers last season.

Green Bay was been surprisingly active this year, but that probably has more to do with the roster holes that they’re trying to fill than a desire to spend money. So far, they’ve signed DT’s Hargrove and Dan Muir and brought in C Jeff Saturday to replace Scott Wells. While that may not seem like a busy offseason, it’s really a lot for the Packers considering that they hadn’t signed a free agent since 2009 before this.
