Packers Sign Fourth-Round Pick LB Jake Ryan

Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the Packers have signed their fourth-round pick LB Jake Ryan to a four-year contract.

  • Silverstein expects the Packers to have rookies under contract in the near future.

There is a real opportunity in Green Bay to be a long-term starter now that the Packers have moved on from long-time ILB A.J. Hawk. It will be interesting to see if Ryan is able to win the job outright in training camp and in the preseason.

According to OverTheCap.com, Ryan is projected to receive a four-year contract worth $2,736,676 , which includes a signing bonus of $456,676.

During his four years at Michigan, Ryan recorded 267 tackles, 9.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles, one interception and seven pass defenses.
