Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports that the Packers have signed rookie DT Aiulua Fanene to a contract on Thursday.
This move comes after the news that third-round DL Montravius Adams underwent foot surgery and is expected to miss multiple weeks.
Fanene wound up going undrafted out of Arizona back in May. This will be his first opportunity with an NFL team.
During his college career at Arizona, Fanene recorded 23 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, no sacks, a forced fumble and a pass defense over the course of 18 games.
