Packers Sign Second-Round CB Kevin King

The Green Bay Packers have signed second-round CB Kevin King to a four-year rookie contract, according to Field Yates.

According to OverTheCap.com, King will receiveĀ a four-year contract worth $7,080,850, which includes a signing bonus of $3,289,708.

King, 22, was selected with the No. 33 overall pick by the Packers after they elected to trade down with the Saints.Ā For moving back a few spots, the Packers picked up an additional fourth-round pick that they used on OLB Vince Biegel.

Green Bay had to address their secondary after a disastrousĀ 2016 season, and King gives them not only a talented cornerback to develop, but also plenty of size and athleticism at the position.

During his four-year college career at Washington, King recorded 164 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, six interceptions, 22 pass defenses, two forced fumbles and two fumbles recoveries in 43 games for the Huskies.
