Packers Sign Seventh-Round Pick WR Jeff Janis

The Green Bay Packers agreed to term with seventh-round pick WR Jeff Janis on Wednesday, per Aaron Wilson.

This marks the second draft pick that the Packers have got under contract since the draft concluded on Saturday.

Janis is an interesting selection given that posted some impressive numbers at this year’s NFL Combine including a 4.42 forty time, 37 1/2-inch vertical and a 10-foot-3 broad jump.

Green Bay has a number of guys competing for receiver spots including fifth-round pick Jared Abbrederis, Chris Harper, Miles White, Kevin Dorsey and Alex Gillett. It will be interesting to see how he performs during training camp as he could end up being stashed on the team’s practice squad at the start of the season.
