Packers Signed TE Beau Sandland To Futures Deal

The Green Bay Packers officially signed TE Beau Sandland to a future/reserve contract on Tuesday.

This brings the list of players signed to futures deals by Green Bay to eight players. The full list includes:

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.

Sandland, 23, was selected in the seventh round of this year’s NFL draft by the Panthers. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and was later signed to the team’s practice squad.

Carolina elected to cut him loose from their practice squad back in November and he later signed on to the Packers’ taxi squad.

During his senior season at Montana State, Sandland caught 37 passes for 632 yards (17.1 YPR) and nine touchdowns.
