Packers TE Andrew Quarless Arrested For Firing A Gun

Tim Elfrink of the Miami New Times reports that Packers TE Andrew Quarless has been arrested in South Beach for firing a gun twice into the ground.

Police say Quarless got into a fight that led to him firing the gun around 5:30 a.m. According to the report, Quarless allegedly tried to flee the scene, but was apprehended and charged with discharging a firearm in public.

According to the police report, Quarless fired two rounds after getting into an argument with a group of women near a parking garage. Quarless later hide outside a restaurant and tried to stash his weapon in a potted plant after police chased the black Porsche he was seen riding in.

Quarless, 26, is in line to be the team’s starting tight end or at least see a large amount of playing time in 2015.

He still has one year remaining on his Signed a two-year, $3 million contract, which includes a base salary of $1.3 million to go along with a $200,000 roster bonus and a $75,000 workout bonus.

In 2014, Quarless appeared in all 16 games for the Packers and caught 29 passes for 323 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
