Packers TE Lance Kendricks Cited For Marijuana Possession Back In September

TMZ Sports reports that Packers TE Lance Kendricks was cited for having weed in his car back in September after he was pulled over for speeding.

According to the report, Kendricks was stopped for going 81 in a 70 mph zone while he was on his way home from a Badgers football game on Sept. 2.

Police reportedly “could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.” Kendricks initially denied that there were any drugs in the car before later admitting that he had weed in the glove box.

Kendricks is facing 2 charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and was given a warning for speeding.

This comes after news surfaced that Packers rookie RB Aaron Jones was arrested on October 1 for possession of marijuana.

Kendricks, 29, is a former second-round pick of the Rams back in 2011. He was in the third year of his four-year, $18.5 million contract when the Rams released him during the offseason.

Kendricks later signed a two-year, $4 million contract that included a $1.2 million signing bonus with the Packers back in March.

In 2017, Kendricks has appeared in 10 games for the Packers and recorded 10 receptions for 140 yards receiving and one touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 42 tight end out of 68 qualifying players.
