Packers Waive DB David Rivers From I.R. With Injury Settlement

The Green Bay Packers officially waived DB David Rivers from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Tuesday.

Rivers signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Youngstown State back in May. Green Bay elected to waive him last with an injury designation to make room for CB Daquan Holmes.

The Packers later placed him on injured reserve after he passed through waivers unclaimed.

During his two-year college career at Youngstown State, Rivers recorded 45 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, 13 pass defenses, and one forced fumble.
