Packers Waive RB Darius Jackson, Promote DL Tyler Lancaster

The Green Bay Packers announced Saturday that they’ve promoted DL Tyler Lancaster to their active roster and waived RB Darius Jackson.

Jackson, 24, was selected in the sixth round of last year’s draft by the Cowboys. Dallas waived Jackson towards the end of the 2016 season and was later claimed off waivers by the Browns.

The Cowboys signed Jackson to a contract in May, but elected to cut him loose as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players last weekend. Dallas later signed Jackson to their practice squad before the Packers added hi to their active roster.

In 2018, Jackson has appeared in two games for the Packers.

During his college career at Eastern Michigan, Jackson ran for 1,596 yards on 321 carries (5 YPC) to go along with 44 receptions for 375 yards receiving and 21 touchdowns.
