Packers Waive Seven Players Including WR Chris Harper

 

The Green Bay Packers announced that they have placed seven players on waivers as they work to get down to 75 players ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.

Among the players cut are: WR Chris Harper, S Charles Clay, CB Antonio Dennard, LB Korey Jones, FB Ina Liaina, QB Chase Rettig, and WR Gerrard Sheppard.

Harper, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Seahawks. He lasted just a few months in Seattle before he was placed on waivers and later signed to the 49ers practice squad.

Green Bay claimed Harper off of waivers last October and there was some buzz that he could be in contention for a roster spot during training camp, but he began to fall behind other receivers in recent weeks.
