Packers Work Out Four Players Including TE Travis Beckum

Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports that the Green Bay Packers brought in free agent TE Travis Beckum for a workout on Tuesday.

According to Beckum’s agent, Ron Slavin, the visit went well.

“It went well,” his agent, Slavin said. “They put him on their so-called emergency list.”

The Packers recently added TE Justin Perillo to the active roster ahead of Sunday’s game against the Eagles, so they are clearly looking for some additional depth at tight end.

Beckum, 27, was most recently with the Saints, but he was unable to make their final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason. Since then, he’s worked out for the Bears and Jaguars, but has yet to sign on with another team.

Beckum hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2012 when he was with the Giants.
