Packers Worked Out 5 Players Including RBs Joique Bell & James Wilder Jr

Rob Demovsky reports that the Packers brought in five players for workouts on Tuesday including RB Joique Bell, RB James Wilder Jr., RB Brandon Wegher, DE Arthur Miley and DB Brandon Dixon.

According to Demovsky, the Packers have yet to sign any of these players.

Bell, 30, originally signed on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Wayne State back in 2010. After brief stints with the Eagles, Colts and Saints, Bell signed a two-year contract with the Lions towards the end of the 2011 season.

Bell spent four years in Detroit before he was released back in February. The Bears elected to sign him to a contract a few months ago but released him not long after.

In 2106, Bell has appeared in four games for the Bears and ran for six yards on three carries and no touchdowns.

Wilder Jr, 24, signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Florida State back in 2014. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of his first preseason but was later signed to their practice squad.

After another year on the Bengals’ practice squad, Wilder Jr was signed to the Bills active roster this past January. Unfortunately, Wilder Jr was waived with an injury designation over a month ago and later reverted to their injured reserve list.

The Bills eventually cut him loose towards the end of September.

Wilder Jr has yet to appear in an NFL game.
