Packers Worked Out 5 Players

According to Howard Balzer, the Green Bay Packers brought in five free agents for workouts on Tuesday including DL Paul Boyette, DL Casey Sayles, CB Jeremy Boykins, CB Jarnor Jones and S Orion Stewart.

Stewart, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Baylor back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Broncos cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

The Bills later signed him to their practice squad but released him earlier this month.

Since becoming a free agent, Stewart has worked out for the Raiders and Redskins but was not signed to a contract.

During his college career at Baylor, Stewart recorded 260 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks, 12 interceptions with two of them being returned for touchdowns, a forced fumble, three recoveries and 14 pass defenses over the course of 46 games.
