Packers Worked Out 4 Linebackers Including Ronald Powell & Justin Anderson

The Green Bay Packers worked out Justin Anderson, Curtis Grant, Ronald Powell and J.R. Tavai this week, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.

Powell, 24, was taken in the fifth round of last year’s NFL Draft by the Saints. He was able to make the Saints’ 53-man roster last year, but was unfortunately waived from injured reserve with a settlement at the start of the 2015 season.

Last year, Powell appeared in 14 games for the Saints and recorded two total tackles.

Anderson, 24, originally signed on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana-Lafayette back in 2014. He spent most of the year on and off of New York’s practice squad before signing a future/reserve deal with the Vikings this past March.

After a brief stint with the Cowboys, Anderson joined the Saints during the preseason. However, he was once again waived at the start of the season.

In 2014, Anderson appeared in two games, but didn’t record a single statistic.
