Packers Working Out Rookie K Brent Wahle This Week

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Packers are bringing in kicker Brent Wahle for a workout on Wednesday.

It seems likely that the Packers are looking at him as a camp kicker, considering that they have Mason Crosby in place as their starter and under contract for another four years.

Wahle wound up going undrafted out of Ohio Dominican a few months ago. Shortly after the draft, he earned an invitation to the Browns’ rookie minicamp, but wasn’t signed to a contract afterwards.

Wahle was a consensus All-American after his senior season and earned CoSIDA Academic All-American honors.

During his four-year college career at Ohio Dominican, Wahle appeared in 45 games and converted 67 of 84 field goal attempts (80 percent) to go along with 193 of 197 extra point attempts (98 percent) for a total of 394 points.
