Packers Working Out WR Mitch Mathews

The Green Bay Packers are bringing free agent WR Mitch Mathews for a workout this week, according to his agent Brett Tessler.

Mathews, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of BYU back in May. He was set to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season, but he was unfortunately waived in the final week of the preseason.

The Browns signed him to their practice squad back in October but cut him loose a few week later.

During his college career, he caught 152 passes for 2,083 yards (13.7 YPR) and 24 touchdowns over the course of 41 games.
