Packers WR Trevor Davis Arrested For Making Joke About Bomb At LAX

TMZ Sports reports that Packers WR Trevor Davis was arrested at LAX on Sunday morning for allegedly joking about smuggling a bomb into the airport.

Davis was reportedly at the Hawaiian Airlines ticket counter with a female companion to check into a flight when the attendant asked the usual security questions about their luggage.

According to TMZ, Davis turned to the other woman and said, “Did you remember to pack the explosives?

She played along with the joke and said, “Yes.”

The cops were then called and Davis was immediately taken into custody for misdemeanor criminal threats. He was booked and later released.

The Packers released the following statement regarding Davis:

“The Packers are aware of the matter involving Trevor Davis. We are in the process of gathering more information and will refrain from making any further comment as it is an ongoing legal matter.”

Davis, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Packers back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.5 million contract and set to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000 over the first two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Davis appeared in all 16 games for the Packers and caught five passes for 70 yards. He totaled 707 kick return yards and 289 punt return yards for the Packers.
