Panthers Announce Five Roster Moves

The Carolina Panthers have announced the signing of two players to their roster and the waiving of another three from their roster.

The Panthers have waived OT Travis Bond, OG Michael Jasper and OG Phillipkeith Manley on Monday.

Bond, 23, is the only player of the group to have earned playing time last season after he was signed as a free agent from Minnesota’s practice squad on November 13.

Carolina signed UDFA OT David Foucault and P Jordan Gay as the additions. Foucault signs as a try-out player after being drafted as the fifth overall pick in the Canadian Football League.

HC Ron Rivera had inspiring words for Foucault following his addition. Standing at 6 feet 8 inches, at 320 pounds–it is clear to see the physical specimen that Foucault is.

He’s got long arms and he’s got a nice accent,” head coach Ron Rivera said. “He did some nice things. He’s very athletic. What’s really nice is as (offensive line coaches John Matsko and Ray Brown) started trying to get him to understand certain techniques and the way we do things here – it’s a little bit different obviously – he seemed to be able to pick those things up.”
