Panthers Cut CB Melvin White & WR Jarrett Boykin

The Carolina Panthers have waived CB Melvin White, as they continue to trim their roster down to 75 players ahead of today’s deadline.

Jonathan Jones reports that the Panthers have also waived veteran WR Jarrett Boykin on Tuesday.

Boykin, 25, originally signed on with the Jaguars as undrafted free agent out of Virginia Tech back in 2012. He later caught on with the Packers after he was waived by Jacksonville a month after the signed him.

The Panthers wound up signing him to a one-year, $700,000 contract back in late March.

In 2014, Boykin appeared in 13 games for Green Bay and caught three passes for 23 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
