Panthers Designate S Da’Norris Searcy To Return From Injured Reserve

The Carolina Panthers have designated S Da’Norris Searcy to return from injured reserve on Wednesday.

This officially opens a three-week window of time for the Panthers to add him to their active roster or he would revert back to injured reserve.

Searcy, 29, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bills back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract in Buffalo and eventually signed a four-year, $23.75 million deal that included $7 million guaranteed with the Titans in 2015.

Last year, Searcy agreed to a pay cut to be back with the Titans and was set to make a base salary of $3.8 million for the 2018 season when the Titans released him during the offseason.

The Panthers signed Searcy to a two-year deal worth $5.7 million in March.

In 2018, Searcy appeared in two games and recorded five tackles and no interceptions or pass defenses.
