Panthers Host WR Greg Jennings For A Visit

Bill Voth of Black and Blue Review, citing a league source, reports that the Panthers hosted veteran WR Greg Jennings for a visit on Saturday.

This is the first reported visit for Jennings since he was released by the Vikings in a move that freed up $5 million in cap space.

After Minnesota acquired WR Mike Wallace in a trade with the Dolphins, it became clear that Jennings’ was likely to be released.

As things stand right now, Jennings is the best available receiver and could be a decent pick up for the Panthers, depending on his asking price.

Jennings, 31, appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and caught 59 receptions for 742 yards receiving and six touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the N0. 48 receiver out of 110 qualifying players.
