Panthers LB Luke Kuechly Carted Off, Being Evaluated For Concussion

Panthers LB Luke Kuechly was carted off of the field during the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s game and is being evaluated for a concussion.

Kuechly was visibly broken up as he was being evaluated by doctors. It looked as though he was having a hard time breathing.

It’s worth mentioning that Kuechly has had a history of concussions dating back to his time in college.

Kuechly, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Panthers back in 2012. He’s currently in the second year of his six-year, $64.105 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1 million this year and another $7.36 million in 2017.

Entering tonight’s game, Kuechly had appeared in nine games and recorded 88 tackles, two sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and five pass defenses.

We’ll have more regarding Kuechly as the news is available.
