Panthers LT Jordan Gross Still Considering Retirement

Panthers GM Dave Gettleman told reporters on Thursday that impending free agent LT Jordan Gross is still considering whether or not he’ll return for 14th season in the NFL.

There has been some talk that Gross could sign a one or two-year contract that would allow the Panthers to find a long-term prospect at left tackle, but it appears as though there is no guarantee he’s willing to return for another season.

Gross, 33, restructure his contract to free up some additional cap space for the Panthers last year and has said that he would only consider playing for Carolina.

Without a long-term replacement on the roster, it would be very tough to replace Gross, especially when you consider that Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 3 left tackle in the league this past season.

We have him listed as the No. 45 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
