Panthers Possibly Moving To Los Angeles?

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that California officials have been trying to convince Carolina Panther owner Jerry Richardson to consider moving the team to Los Angeles.

Schefter adds that there’s been “no luck so far.

This is interesting considering that the Panthers were not mentioned one of the speculative teams that could relocate to Los Angeles. Instead, it was the Rams, Jaguars, Chargers, Raiders, Bills and Vikings. Minnesota will have a new stadium in the coming years, so they’re out and Jaguars new owner Shad Khan has publicly said that he intends to keep the team in Jacksonville. Buffalo will go to the highest bidder at some point, but it seems like the Chargers, Raiders and Rams are the best options as of now.

  1. As a resident in LA, I dont care who we get. The Panthers would be nice cause of Cam, but seriously we can turn a losing team into a winner with the right money, and resources including a new stadium, great weather, the LA life…I think the NFL is scared to move a team here because it would throw the other teams out of contention immediately. Free Agents would automatically look first to coming to LA assuming we can pay for them, which in all likelihood would be no problem. The TV Deal generated here would give Billions of dollars to the team, as well as the league with the new revenue sharing agreement. When I say billions I mean 5 billion for 15-20 years. The attendance problems that uneducated commenters claim was the reason for the Rams and Raiders moving, would be non existent. It wont be a problem now and wasnt a problem then. They moved because they wanted a new stadium deal. Instead they got the ugliest Dome in America, and a dirt field named Coliseum. Come to LA whoever you are, we’ll sell out every game.
