Panthers Re-Sign QB Derek Anderson

Update:

Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer reports that the Panthers re-signed QB Derek Anderson to a two-year contract.

  • The terms of the agreement are undisclosed as of now.

Person adds that the Panthers like the chemistry in their quarterback room with the combination Anderson and Cam Newton.

Free agent QB Derek Anderson announced via his Twitter account that he has re-signed with the Panthers.

Anderson, 30, has spent the past three years with the Panthers after a horrible year in Arizona. He last appeared in a game back in 2012, but it’s highly unlikely he’ll see any playing time behind Cam Newton.
