Panthers S Kurt Coleman Expected To Miss Time With MCL Sprain

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Panthers S Kurt Coleman is believed to have suffered an MCL sprained during Sunday’s game. Coleman is undergoing tests on Monday but is expected to miss some time.

Coleman, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Eagles back in 2010. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $18.2 million contract that included $7 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $1.9 million and $3.5 million over the next two years.

In 2017, Coleman has appeared in four games and recorded 20 tackles and no interceptions for the Panthers. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 66 safety out of 81 qualifying players.
