Panthers Sign CB Teddy Williams To A Two-Year Deal

Teddy Williams’ agent, David Canter, has confirmed the deal via his Twitter account.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Panthers are signing CB Teddy Williams to a two-year contract worth up $2.3 million.

  • According to Rapoport, the Panthers will pay Williams $900K in year-one of the agreement.

Williams, 26, signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Texas-San Antonio back in 2010.

At that time he was playing receiver, but he has since made the transition to cornerback, so it will be interesting to see if he develops into a solid defensive players.

Last year, Williams appeared in just two games for the Jaguars and recorded two total tackles.
