Panthers Sign LB Zeek Bigger, Waive LB Alex Bazzie

The Carolina Panthers announced Tuesday that they’ve signed LB Zeek Bigger to a contract and placed LB Alex Bazzie on waivers in a corresponding move.

Bazzie, 26, has spent the past three years playing for the BC Lions of the CFL after he went undrafted out of Marshall. In total, Bazzie has appeared in 50 games and totaled 83 tackles, 29.0 sacks, and two forced fumbles for the Lions.

The Colts signed him to a future/reserve contract this past January only to cut him loose following this year’s NFL draft. Bazzie caught on with the Panthers a few days later.

During his college career at Marshall, Bazzie appeared in 45 games recorded 109 tackles, 10.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks.
