Panthers Sign OL Blaine Clausell To Practice Squad

The Carolina Panthers have signed OL Blaine Clausell to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to his agent Brett Tessler.

The Panthers will need to make a roster move as they’re currently at the limit. Here’s how their practice squad looks right now:

  1. DT Eric Crume (injured)
  2. S Travell Dixon
  3. WR Keyarris Garrett
  4. RB Jalen Simmons
  5. DE Larry Webster
  6. WR Damiere Byrd
  7. TE Scott Simonson
  8. OT Pearce Slater
  9. DB Tyler Patmon
  10. OT Jake Rodgers
  11. OT Tyrus Thompson

Clausell, 24, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State back in May of last year. He was unfortunately among their final roster cuts, but he managed to sign on to the Patriots’ practice squad just a few days later.

Clausell returned to the Ravens later on in the year and was brought back on a future/reserve contract. However, the Ravens once again waived him coming out of the preseason before signing him to their practice squad.

In November, the Redskins signed Clausell off of the Ravens’ practice squad before cutting him loose a few weeks ago.

Clausell has yet to appear in an NFL game.
