Panthers Sign DE Wes Horton To Practice Squad

The Carolina Panthers announced Wednesday that they’ve signed DE Wes Horton to their practice squad.

Horton, 25, also signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out USC back in 2013. He was in the final year of his three-year, $1.485 million rookie contract when the Panthers cut him a few months ago.

However, Carolina later re-signed him to a contract a week into October.

Horton was reinstated after being suspended four games not too along ago, but Carolina elected to waive him from their exempt list close to a week ago.

This year, Horton has appeared in eight games and recorded seven tackles and a sack for the Panthers.
