Panthers Signing RB Travaris Cadet

Jordan Rodrigue reports that the Panthers are signing RB Travaris Cadet to a one-year contract on Monday.

Cadet takes the roster spot of C.J. Anderson, who was cut loose earlier in the day.

Cadet, 29, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State back in 2012. He spent three years in New Orleans before he having brief stints with the Patriots and 49ers.

Cadet returned to the Saints at the end of the 2015 season and spent another two years in New Orleans. After being released at the start of the 2017 season, Cadet signed on with the Jets for a month before later joining the Bills to finish out the season.

Buffalo brought Cadet back on a one-year contract this past March only to release him at the start of the season.

In 2017, Cadet appeared in nine games and rushed for 96 yards on 23 carries to go along with 16 receptions for 119 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
